- Voice of the Copts & National American Coptic Assembly , American Coptic Union - a human rights group for over than 22 million Egyptian Coptic Christians, will hold a News Conference on Monday August 17th at 9:30am in the Lisagor Room of the National Press Club, 529 14th St. NW, 13th Floor - Washington, DC 20045 on the occasion of President Mubarak's visit to Washington DC to detail violent attacks by Mubarak’s regime against Coptic Christians in Egypt, with the blessing of the regime and to demand action by Mubarak to stop such attacks. Due to 28 years of Mubarak’s refusal to take effective action, President Mubarak is responsible for these violent attacks& discrimination against Coptic citizen. On Tuesday, President Mubarak will then discuss Mid-East human rights issues with President Barack H. Obama at the White House. Rally on Tuesday Aug 18 on 900 am on the front of the white house at Pennsylvania and 17th Street – Washington DC, a peaceful demonstration organize By Voice of the Copts (with offices and presence in Italy, and USA), National American Coptic Assembly, American Coptic Union, other human rights groups, and human rights activists will join to demand that Mubarak take action to stop Muslim extremist violence against Coptic Christians and others in Egypt.
